Monday 5th November – walk *** – Ipswich waterfront and Holywells Park
– Damp and gloomy.
The gloomy, wet, grey, dull, cold continues with days and days of poor
weather, getting much colder too with the slight chance of snow, will be
very lucky to get a windsurf in this month at this rate:( On the bright
side we were booked in to see the new Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva so
had a busy morning at home, me doing my exercises as the light rain came
down as Mag continues to clean up our front door! Despite the poor weather
Mag and I are keen to make the most of our Ipswich visits by packing a
picnic and going for a walk before the hospital visit. We again parked
near Holywells Park but this time we walked down to Ipswich Waterfront and
to be honest it rained nearly the while time we were out, luckily it was
only light! I got a few nice pics but it was too wet to sit for our lunch
so headed back for a quick spin around the park seeing loads of Jays,
robins, coots, ducks, moorhens and gulls before returning to the van for
lunch.
It was then only a short drive to Ipswich Hospital where we bought a local
paper as I have a rare pic in it before getting to see Maeva. As she is on
the ward now we had to take it in turns, Mag first to give her a little
Santa hat she knitted last night and we both got our first cuddle and loved
it, cant wait for our next visit, probably on Friday!
